oneworld and Tokyo Monorail mark Haneda International's first year

01 November 2011

oneworld®, the leading global airline alliance, is joining with Tokyo Monorail to launch a number of customer campaigns and an advertising drive to mark the first anniversary of the opening of Tokyo International Airport Terminal (TIAT) as Tokyo Haneda opened to scheduled international flights.

Tokyo Monorail provides fast and easy access from Hamamatsucho in downtown Tokyo to TIAT with traveling times as short as just 13 minutes.  Thanks to the design of TIAT, passengers can then be in the airport's departures hall in just one minute.

The oneworld alliance offers customers the most international destinations from Haneda, connecting Tokyo's downtown airport with 11 cities worldwide.

To mark TIAT's first birthday, its monorail station will be wrapped with advertising featuring   oneworld's UP campaign and highlighting all 12 of its member airlines.

As part of the celebrations, Tokyo Monorail and oneworld will conduct a lucky draw quiz, running from 31 October  2011 for three months, to 31 January with two top prizes each of a oneworld Explorer round-the-world three-continent tickets with lots of runners-up prizes of restaurant vouchers and other goodies from oneworld member airlines.

Customers traveling on any oneworld airline's international flight in or out of Haneda and connecting to the airport via the Tokyo Monorail during the three months of the campaign will be eligible to take part in a second draw with prizes including hotel vouchers, a Samsung Galaxy Tab 10,1, beauty product Handy Mist by imiy and Pixel Cube Frame Spinner carrier bags.

Both draws are open to residents of Japan only.
