Job Objective:
oneworld alliance is seeking a strategic and versatile Manager of Communications to elevate our brand and voice across global markets. This role is ideal for a communications professional with outstanding writing skills, a deep appreciation for precision and consistency, and a passion for aviation and international travel. You'll play a key role in shaping how we connect with customers, employees, media, and industry partners around the world.
Key Accountabilities:
- Craft clear, engaging, and brand-aligned content across multiple channels—press releases, internal announcements, executive messaging, thought leadership presentations, campaigns, digital content, and more.
- Support content creation for Management and Governing Board meetings and summarize after action plans.
- Lead and support international communication initiatives, including on-site support for route launches, media events, and partnership announcements.
- Develop proactive media relations strategies and serve as a key point of contact for aviation and business press.
- Collaborate with member airline communication teams for alliance-wide communications initiatives
- Coordinate closely with internal stakeholders in support of business objectives in operations, marketing, customer experience, airports/lounges, sustainability to ensure messaging reflects the brand’s voice and values.
- Support executive communications including speechwriting, talking points, and presentation development for internal and external audiences.
- Monitor aviation industry trends and media coverage to inform messaging and identify opportunities.
- Manage communications timelines and deliverables, coordinating with international teams and external vendors as needed.
Skills, Experience, And Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field. 5–8 years of experience in corporate communications, public relations, or brand messaging—ideally within the airline, travel, or transportation sector.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills with a strong portfolio of written work.
- Detail-oriented with a proven ability to manage multiple complex projects in fast-paced environments.
- Demonstrated success working across cultures and time zones; comfortable managing communications on a global scale.
- Willingness and availability to travel internationally, sometimes on short notice.
Preferred Qualifications: - Prior experience in the airline or aviation industry strongly preferred. - Familiarity with aviation regulations and terminology. - Multilingual abilities are a plus. - Experience with social media content creation, digital platforms, and analytics tools.
